Strategic Market Access Deals Aim to Propel Betr's Presence in Seven States.
Betr Holdings, Inc. (Betr), the dynamic Miami-based sports gaming and sports media company, has unveiled its extensive expansion plans for online sports betting and iGaming in 2024.
The company has secured market access in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Kentucky for its online sportsbook and casino offerings, marking a strategic move to solidify its presence in key U.S. states.
Betr already holds market access in Indiana, has a pending sports wagering license application in Maryland, and is currently operational in Ohio, Virginia, and Massachusetts with its beta product.
The ambitious launch schedule aims to introduce V1 of Betr's Sportsbook ahead of the 2024 NFL season, building on the success of the company's real money fantasy sports product, Betr Picks, launched in 2023.
The latest market access partnerships include a collaboration with Cordish Gaming Group for online sportsbook and casino access in Pennsylvania, adding to Betr's existing market access. The partnership includes plans for Betr Casino's launch, subject to regulatory approval.
Rob Norton, President of Cordish Gaming Group, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, "Betr Casino will make a winning addition to the gaming options available to Pennsylvania players, which includes two of our own successful Live! Casino properties."
In Colorado, Betr has secured online sportsbook market access with Boulter Developments, pending licensing approval. Steve Boulter of Boulter Developments LLC expressed enthusiasm, citing Betr's innovative approach to gaming and its growing media arm as key factors in the partnership.
In Kentucky, Betr has expanded its collaboration with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, securing online sportsbook market access. Scott Barber, CEO of EBCI Holdings, LLC, emphasized the innovative products and user-friendly app that Betr brings to the Kentucky sports betting market.
Joey Levy, Founder and CEO of Betr, outlined the company's playbook for success, leveraging simpler and more intuitive user experiences and original short-form video content for the next generation of sports fans. The strategy has proven successful with Betr Picks, and the company plans to replicate it for Betr Sportsbook and Betr Casino.
Levy commented, "By the end of 2024, we should see a further step change in our scale, while also having successfully laid the foundations of at least four distinct business units: Betr Fantasy, Betr Sportsbook, Betr Casino, and Betr Media."
Betr aims to be live in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Indiana, Maryland, Colorado, and Kentucky with its V1 Sportsbook by the close of 2024, along with the launch of Betr Casino in Pennsylvania.
The company also expressed gratitude to the MGC for its partnership in Massachusetts and expressed hope for reentering the market in the future.
