Approval from the Swedish gambling authority grants license to supply regulated operators.
Bragg Gaming Group has recently obtained a B2B supplier license in the Swedish market, positioning itself ahead of the forthcoming regulatory measures in the country.
With the acquisition of this supplier license, Swedish players will maintain their access to an extensive selection of exclusive content delivered through Bragg's remote games server.
While Bragg has been actively operating in the Swedish market since 2019, the Spelinspektionen (Swedish gambling authority) has set a deadline of July 1 for suppliers to apply for accreditation. This initiative aims to redirect more players towards the regulated sector and curtail offshore online gambling.
The Swedish market holds significant importance within Bragg's overall European strategy. According to the Spelinspektionen's 2022 data, licensed online operators in Sweden generated approximately SEK12bn (USD $1.2bn) in gross gaming revenue.
Lara Falzon, President and Chief Operating Officer at Bragg Gaming Group, expressed her satisfaction, stating, "Compliance is an integral aspect of our strategy whenever we provide our content, so we are thrilled to continue supporting the regulated industry in Sweden."
She further added, "We consistently adapt to changes in legislation to stay ahead of the game. Our goal is to offer our expanding portfolio of exclusive and localized content in various international regulated jurisdictions where our esteemed customers operate."
