In response to the UK Gambling Commission's and Betting and Gaming Council's newly announced regulations on affordability checks, Department of Trust is gearing up to address the challenges with its commitment to achieving "100% automation."
The recent regulations mandate operators to implement frictionless checks on all customers making £500 net deposits within a rolling 30-day period by August 30th. These checks aim to safeguard players at risk of financial harm, replacing the previous ad hoc approach to affordability checks.
Department of Trust's CEO, Charles Cohen, emphasized the significance of these announcements, stating, "These important announcements flag the end of gambling’s ‘sus law’ where players faced seemingly arbitrary requests for personal information, operators were placed under a significant burden, and no one won."
The company's DoTrust Complete solution offers an integrated suite of frictionless and enhanced financial risk checks, uniquely designed for safer gambling. Cohen highlighted the solution's automation capability, asserting that it automates over 90% of the processes required in both the new LCCP and BGC code.
Cohen further explained, "If operators want to protect their business, keep their customers and reduce costs, smart automation is the only answer. Department of Trust has spent over two years building the leading plug-and-play solution specifically for the gambling industry."
With the deadline fast approaching, Department of Trust is committed to achieving its goal of 100% automation, aiming to provide instant assessments and cost-effective decisions for operators and players alike.
