Pennsylvania and Virginia Lotteries now offer Mega Money Jackpots to eInstant players.
Instant Win Gaming (IWG), a leading supplier of eInstant games to NASPL/WLA-member lotteries, is pleased to announce the launch of the industry's first multi-state eInstant progressive jackpot in collaboration with the Pennsylvania and Virginia Lotteries.
Known as Mega Money Jackpots, this new progressive jackpot will provide multimillion-dollar prizes to eInstant players in both Pennsylvania and Virginia.
A small percentage of sales from designated eInstants in each participating lottery will contribute to the funding of Mega Money Jackpots.
IWG will serve as the jackpot manager and oversee the distribution of jackpot prize money across the participating lotteries.
In the future, the Pennsylvania and Virginia Lotteries envision the integration of eInstants from additional U.S. lotteries into Mega Money Jackpots, further enhancing the potential for progressive prize amounts.
Mega Money Jackpots is powered by IWG's InstantJackpots. Since all functionality is integrated within IWG's InstantRGS (remote game server), no development support is required from the iLottery platform providers of the participating lotteries. Other lotteries can join the initiative independently, regardless of their contracted iLottery platform provider.
Rhydian Fisher, CEO of IWG, expressed his excitement about the launch: "Progressive jackpots have been immensely popular among eInstant players in Pennsylvania and Virginia. With the expanded prize opportunities resulting from pooling play across these two successful lotteries, Mega Money Jackpots offers even higher jackpot rewards and greater player excitement. Congratulations to both lotteries for pioneering this new chapter in eInstant games."
Stephanie Weyant, Deputy Executive Director for Marketing and Products at Pennsylvania Lottery, shared her enthusiasm: "We are thrilled to collaborate with the Virginia Lottery and IWG to introduce Mega Money Jackpots. The ability to offer higher jackpot prizes will undoubtedly resonate with our players and generate additional proceeds to support older Pennsylvanians here in the Commonwealth."
Scott Kenyon, Strategic Games Manager at Virginia Lottery, added: "As the first U.S. lottery to launch progressive jackpot eInstants, the Virginia Lottery continues to partner with IWG to champion further online innovations. This multi-state collaboration with the Pennsylvania Lottery showcases these efforts, setting an example for other iLottery jurisdictions. We believe Mega Money Jackpots will be enthusiastically received by our players, while also supporting the Virginia Lottery's mission to raise revenue for K-12 public education."
