The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has taken decisive action, opting to cancel the authorisation granted to Super7plus Limited (the ‘Authorised Person’) under the reference number MGA/B2C/436/2017, effective from January 17, 2024.
This decision aligns with regulations 9(1)(c) and 10(1)(a) of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations (S.L. 583.06) (the ‘Regulations’).
In response to this move, the Authorised Person has been directed to:
Immediate Suspension: Halt all gaming operations promptly and cease new player registrations under its authorisation.
Player Access: Allow existing players access to their accounts for withdrawal requests.
Fee Settlement: Settle all outstanding fees owed to the Authority within five (5) days from the aforementioned effective date.
Transaction Report Submission: Submit a transaction report from their back-end system, along with supporting bank statements confirming the proper remittance of all player funds to registered players, within seven (7) days from the effective date.
The Authority retains the right to request facilities from the Authorised Person to extract and copy pertinent data, including essential regulatory data as defined in the Gaming Definitions Regulations (S.L. 583.04).
Removal of References: Immediately remove any mention of the Authority and the authorisation, in accordance with article 51 of the Act.
This revocation decision is open to appeal under article 43(1) of the Act. The MGA's action underscores its commitment to maintaining regulatory standards within the iGaming industry.
