Playbook Engineering, a prominent global betting platform provider, has strengthened its leadership team by appointing Jonathan Chilton as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
This strategic move underscores Playbook's commitment to enhancing its operational prowess and global expansion.
Chilton, with an impressive 19 years of industry expertise, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He joins Playbook from GM Gaming Limited, a company under the Betway group limited and part of Super Group/SGHC, where he served in key positions including CEO/COO, Operations Director, and Executive Director for the past six years.
Having worked extensively in South Africa, including a noteworthy tenure at Osiris Trading in Johannesburg, Chilton’s diverse background positions him as a valuable asset to Playbook.
His expertise encompasses operational and strategic management, governance, and compliance, aligning seamlessly with Playbook’s mission to elevate its global presence.
This appointment follows a series of strategic hires at Playbook, showcasing the company’s dedication to assembling a top-tier team. Luke Cousins was recently welcomed as the Commercial Director in July, further reinforcing Playbook’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
Jonathan Chilton expressed his enthusiasm about joining Playbook, stating: “I am delighted to join Playbook at such a critical point in their journey and am very excited about contributing to the company's strategy and ambition to take their platform global.
I have inherited an amazing team from my predecessor and hope to build on its success and potential, but also looking at maturing regulated markets such as in the US or Ontario, which can be difficult markets to penetrate but ultimately very valuable.”
With Chilton’s appointment, Playbook Engineering is poised to reach new heights in the dynamic world of sports and casino gaming, solidifying its reputation as a leading force in the industry.
