Playson, a prominent digital entertainment provider, has successfully obtained a B2B gambling license in Peru, marking a significant step in its global expansion strategy.
This milestone follows rigorous efforts by Playson to meet the stringent requirements set by Peru's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR). The new regulations, which came into effect in February, make Peru the fourth Latin American market to regulate online casinos.
Playson's General Counsel Felicia Andronic, Head of Compliance Martyna Scieszka, and Chief Commercial Officer Tamas Kusztos played pivotal roles in aligning the company’s operations with the new regulatory standards. Their collaborative efforts ensured that Playson met all necessary criteria to operate legally within the country.
As a licensed supplier, Playson aims to make a significant impact in the Peruvian market by providing operators with its extensive and diverse games portfolio. Before launching its content, the company will focus on obtaining relevant game certifications and completing technical audits, paving the way for a robust presence in this emerging market.
This latest licence adds to Playson's impressive list of global licences, which includes authorisations from the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), Romania's National Gambling Office (ONJN), the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) in Greece, and the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) in Singapore.
These achievements underscore Playson's expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments and its commitment to delivering high-quality content worldwide.
Commenting on the new licence, Tamas Kusztos, Chief Commercial Officer at Playson, said: "As we seek to bring more engaging experiences to players in new markets, obtaining a licence in Peru is a significant strategic move. The market stands out as one of the most promising in the LatAm region, and we look forward to establishing a prominent position in the country."
With this new licence, Playson continues to solidify its reputation as a leading provider in the iGaming industry, demonstrating its capability to adapt and thrive in diverse regulatory landscapes.
