Pragmatic Play, a leading provider of iGaming content, has secured its first partnership in Finland with Veikkaus Oy, the state-owned lottery, casino, and betting operator.
Under this agreement, players in Finland will have access to 10 of Pragmatic Play's popular slot games, including award-winning titles like Sugar Rush™ and Gates of Olympus™, as well as player favorites such as Big Bass Bonanza™ and The Dog House Megaways™.
This strategic move strengthens Pragmatic Play's position in the European market, following recent collaborations with Merkur Sports and Swiss Casinos in the region.
Veikkaus, which started operations in 2017 after the merger of Fintoto, RAY (Finland's Slot Machine Association), and Veikkaus, operates all gambling games offered in Finland, including lottery, casino, and betting. The company follows the exclusive right principle, aiming to ensure responsible gambling and protect players from fraud.
All revenue generated by Veikkaus is used for the benefit of Finnish society, supporting various sectors such as culture, sports, science, youth work, social welfare, health, and the equine industry.
Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "We're delighted to have signed with Veikkaus to bring a selection of iconic Pragmatic Play slots to players in Finland for the first time. This partnership not only marks our continued growth in regulated European markets but also demonstrates our shared commitment to player protection and corporate social responsibility. We look forward to a successful partnership with Veikkaus."
Jan Hagelberg, Chief Product Officer at Veikkaus, also welcomed the collaboration, saying, "With some of the most instantly recognizable and renowned slot games out there, we're excited to be welcoming Pragmatic Play to Veikkaus. Games like Sugar Rush™ and Big Bass Bonanza™ have been making waves with players in Europe for years, and we have every faith our players will enjoy and embrace Pragmatic Play's excellent titles too."
