In a significant development for Raketech, CEO Oskar Mühlbach is set to depart from his role as the company's Board of Directors cites differing views on the strategic direction.
This move follows Mühlbach's impactful four-year tenure leading the company through strategic transformations and a notable growth journey.
Ulrik Bengtsson, Chairman of the Board in Raketech, acknowledged Mühlbach's contributions, stating, "During his four years as CEO, Oskar Mühlbach has led the company through a strategic transformation and a growth journey. As Mühlbach and the Board of Directors have different views on the strategic considerations for the Company going forward, we have agreed to part companies."
To fill the leadership void, co-founder and former Board member Johan Svensson steps in as Acting CEO until a permanent replacement is appointed.
Svensson, having been the CEO of Raketech Group Holding PLC until 2017, brings a wealth of experience to the role. He transitioned to Chief Commercial Officer for the group in October 2023, focusing on commercial strategies, M&A, and business integrations.
Bengtsson expressed confidence in Svensson's ability to lead, stating, "The Board is confident in appointing the co-founder and former Board member Johan Svensson to lead the company until a new permanent CEO is in place."
Oskar Mühlbach, leaving the company after serving as CEO since December 2019, played a pivotal role in establishing a strong foundation for Raketech's future endeavors. Despite the leadership change, Raketech reassures stakeholders that its full-year guidance for 2023 remains unchanged.
This strategic shift at Raketech reflects the dynamism within the iGaming industry, and stakeholders will be closely watching how the company navigates this transition and continues its growth trajectory.
