In a strategic move aimed at bolstering its presence in Irish horse racing, William Hill has announced the addition of four prominent figures from the Irish racing scene to its roster of brand ambassadors.
The quartet includes Cheltenham Festival-winning trainer Gavin Cromwell, accomplished jockeys J J Slevin and Sean Flanagan, and esteemed presenter Jane Mangan.
These partnerships signify William Hill's commitment to enhancing its content offerings in Ireland. The ambassadors will contribute blogs covering major racing events and provide regular video content for the bookmaker's social media platforms.
The collaboration kicks off ahead of the Dublin Racing Festival from Leopardstown, where Slevin is poised to ride Irish Gold Cup contender, Fastorslow.
The announcement coincides with William Hill's extension of sponsorship for the William Hill Champion Chase at the Punchestown Festival for the next three years. Additionally, the bookmaker will sponsor several other races, including the William Hill Boyne Hurdle at Navan on February 11th.
Furthermore, William Hill has forged a partnership with Off The Ball, an Irish sports media company. Together, they will organize joint branded live horse racing events across Ireland, with the first event scheduled for February 1st ahead of the Dublin Racing Festival. This event will feature all four of William Hill's new Irish horse racing ambassadors.
Andrew McCleave, Head of Marketing at William Ireland, expressed enthusiasm about the partnerships, stating: "William Hill has a rich history in horse racing, and we aim to establish ourselves as a prominent presence in Irish racing as well.
We are thrilled to welcome Gavin Cromwell, J J Slevin, Sean Flanagan, and Jane Mangan as our new ambassadors. Their expertise will provide valuable insights to our audience."
McCleave further emphasized William Hill's commitment to Irish racing, citing the extension of sponsorship deals and the collaboration with Off The Ball as strategic initiatives to increase exposure in the Irish market.
